Graphic Design
concept development

I began by pitching three different aesthetic directions for The Future Is Female Gala and its associated marketing materials. After visiting the event space at Fort Mason, I developed three concepts: Futuristic, Modern Floral, and Minimalistic. Presenting these ideas to Movemeant's co-founders, they were instantly drawn to the clean yet sophisticated vibe of the Mininalistic concept, which thus became our mood board for the event.

To kick off the fundraising for The Future Is Female Gala, I created an informational packet inviting companies to be corporate sponsors. This deck included an overview of Movemeant's mission and impact programs and a description of the various sponsorship levels, as well as a form to be filled out and returned. The sponsor deck also established the aesthetic direction for the gala's marketing materials, embracing a streamlined color scheme, utilizing a modern typeface and layout, and showcasing powerful photographs of some of Movemeant's Meant to Move Scholarship recipients. The packet consisted of 5 pages with each page measuring 8.5" x 11".
For the night of the gala, I created an booklet to accompany our live auction. It included a welcome from Movemeant's founder, introductions to the event committee and guest speakers, and descriptions of each auction package. I also created a flyer for our upcoming We Dare To Bare fitness festival in San Francisco. The booklet had 16 pages with each page measuring 5.5" x 8.5".

Incorporating our The Future Is Female aesthetic into the event space at Gallery 308, I created various forms of signage from the gala. These graphics were printed on retractable standing signs, which flanked our presentation stage and were placed throughout the event. Each sign measured 33.5" x 79".
To showcase the beneficiaries our Meant to Move Scholarship program, we set up a Impact Wall along the hallway of Gallery 308. Utilizing powerful photos of these athletes in action, I created spotlights on four of our many deserving scholarship recipients. Printing these images on removable wall decals, we created a temporary, gallery-like installation to inspire guests at The Future Is Female Gala. Each decal measured 24" x 36".

The Future Is Female Gala was a wonderful and empowering celebration of Movemeant Foundation. Founder Jenny Gaither kicked off the night by welcoming everyone and hosting a panel of local female powerhouses. Afterwards, the guests enjoyed food and drinks donated by local restaurants, as well as a live DJ. We wrapped up the evening with a live auction, raising support for our next round of Meant to Move Scholarships.
